CHRISTMAS MINI SESSIONS

Thank you so much for booking your Christmas Mini session with me! I am so excited to capture you and your family amongst the magical setting of the Christmas trees at Wylds Farm. To make things easy, I’ve put together this little guide with all the details you’ll need in one place. That way, you’ll feel fully prepared and hopefully even more excited for your session!

What to expect during your session

On the day I’ll meet you at the entrance to the farm and we’ll walk up to the spot I’ve picked out for our session. I’m all about you and your family having a really fun and enjoyable experience and my approach is to capture the natural flow of our time together. This year I’ll have a few areas set up amongst the trees for the kids to enjoy - including my big basket of snow! I won’t ask you to do stiff, formal poses. Instead, I’ll guide you with gentle prompts and direction so we can capture natural smiles, genuine laughter, and those heartfelt little moments between you all. Expect lots of giggles, a bit of play, and photos that truly reflect your family’s joy and connection.

What should we wear?

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you wear. I always recommend neutral colours and earthy tones like softs blues and khaki greens to compliment your environment and create those timeless photos. Burnt orange and burgundy are also a great choice as they contrast beautifully against the green of the trees. Try and keep everyone coordinated within the same colour palette and avoid anything bright or busy patterns as these don’t photograph well on camera. Textures always look really lovely, knitted jumpers, cosy scarves and wooly hats. If you’d like a festive feel, Christmas colours and patterns are perfect for that classic holiday-card look.

Top tip: Lay everyone’s outfits out together on the bed beforehand to see how the colours and styles work as a whole.

Is there anything I should bring?

Nope! I’ll have blankets and a few props including a santa hat, but please feel free to bring anything else along if you have particular photos in mind. There’s a post box along the woodland path at Wylds to post their letter to Father Christmas if they wanted to send their Christmas list. The Farm is not officially open to the public just yet so you may want to bring along some drinks/snacks and there is access to toilet facilities.

How will I receive my photos?

Within four weeks I’ll send you a link to a private online gallery where you can see all the edited photographs from your session. From this gallery you will be able to select your 5 chosen images, or if you love them all I offer to option to upgrade to your full gallery at £50, or any additional images at £5 each.

Final Notes

Please try to arrive around ten minutes ahead of your scheduled time, I’m running these sessions back to back so I’m afraid I won’t be able to extend your time if you’re late. Please have everyone dressed and ready to go in their outfits, if its a cold day keep the kids wrapped up warm until we’ve walked over to the Christmas trees and we can pop any bags/coats down before we start shooting.

I’m so excited to meet you all! If you have any questions at all or want to run outfit options by me just drop me a message.
