Spring MINI SESSIONS

Thank you so much for booking your Spring Mini session with me. To make things simple, I’ve put together this little guide with all the details you’ll need in one place. I am so excited to capture you and your family!

What to expect during your session

On the day I’ll meet you at the front of the car park. I’m not planning any specific set up’s for these sessions as I want the kids to have the freedom to run around and explore. Frensham is overflowing with beautiful spots so we’ll start with a walk up the sand up to the heathland overlooking the water and go from there! I’m all about you and your family having a really fun and enjoyable experience and my approach is to capture the natural flow of our time together so I’ll be very much guided by your littles and where they want to explore.

I’ll guide you with gentle prompts and direction so we can capture natural smiles and laughter so expect lots of giggles, a bit of play, and photos that truly reflect your family’s joy and connection.

What should we wear?

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you wear. I always recommend neutral colours and earthy tones like softs blues and khaki greens to compliment your environment and create those timeless photos. Dark yellow and burgundy are also a great choice as they contrast beautifully against the white of the sand and compliment the environment. Try and keep everyone coordinated within the same colour palette and avoid anything bright or busy patterns as these don’t photograph well on camera. Textures always look really lovely too, denim, linen, wooly knits.

Top tip: Lay everyone’s outfits out together on the bed beforehand to see how the colours and styles work as a whole.

Is there anything I should bring?

Nope! I’ll have blankets and a few props, but please feel free to bring anything else along if you have particular photos in mind. Please be aware Frensham Pond is open to the public and there is a parking fee, so if you wanted to pack snacks/drinks there is a picnic area and access to toilet facilities.

How will I receive my photos?

Within four weeks I’ll send you a link to a private online gallery where you can see all the edited photographs from your session. From this gallery you will be able to select your 5 chosen images, or if you love them all I offer to option to upgrade to your full gallery.

Final Notes

Please try to arrive around ten minutes ahead of your scheduled time, I’m running these sessions back to back so I’m afraid I won’t be able to extend your time if you’re late. Please have everyone dressed and ready to go in their outfits and head down to the sand. I’ll come and meet you at the front of the car park overlooking the pond. Payment for parking is via RingGo and should be £1.80 for the hour.

Location: Frensham Great Pond, Bacon Lane, Churt, Surrey GU10 2QB

If you haven’t been to Frensham before please be aware that the postcode in some satnavs can take you to the wrong side or to a nearby housing estate (and it doesn’t help that theres no signal in the area either!). I’d recommend using Waze and typing in ‘Frensham Great Pond’ rather than the postcode and this will take you directly to the car park.

If you have any questions at all or want to run outfit options by me just drop me a message!
