Georgina & Brendan Elegant Chewton Glen Wedding
an unique & Intimate Wedding at Chewton Glen
There are weddings that follow tradition—and then there are weddings that truly reflect the couple. Georgina and Brendan’s day at the stunning Chewton Glen Hotel was a perfect example of the latter. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a wedding like no other. Nestled in the heart of the New Forest, Chewton Glen is a luxurious country house hotel known for its timeless elegance, stunning gardens, and exceptional attention to detail. With its rolling lawns, enchanting walled gardens, and charming historic interiors, it’s a venue that feels both grand and intimate at the same time. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this wedding would be truly extraordinary, set against one of the most beautiful backdrops in the UK.
A Morning Together Before the Ceremony
Georgina and Brendan chose to do things non-traditionally, spending the morning together rather than apart, sharing quiet moments as they got ready. This allowed them to have pre-ceremony photos together, capturing the anticipation and excitement for the day ahead. The morning was calm, intimate, and full of connection, a perfect reflection of their personalities and a wonderful way to start the day.
Iconic style
Georgina looked breathtaking in a stylish Khya bridal dress, complemented perfectly by a pure white bouquet. Every element of her look was effortlessly chic, echoing the refined yet personal feel of the day. Brendan was equally stylish in his beige linen suit, together creating a couple aesthetic that felt timeless yet uniquely them.
A Stunning Outdoor Ceremony in the Walled Gardens
The ceremony took place in Chewton Glen’s enchanting walled gardens, bathed in sunlight. It was an intimate, heartfelt celebration, led by the wonderful Caz, the celebrant, who guided Georgina and Brendan through their journey together as a couple and their own personal vows that left everyone touched. The ceremony concluded with a celebratory toast with a carefully selected English sparkling wine under the glorious sunhine which I LOVED. Such a unique idea and a great experience for your guests.
A Drinks Reception with Live Jazz in the Walled Garden
After the ceremony, guests moved into Chewton Glen’s walled gardens for the drinks reception, where there was live jazz music playing. The atmosphere was effortlessly elegant. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered: personalised matchboxes, individual letters written for each guest, and a cocktail menu carefully curated to reflect Georgina and Brendan’s tastes. It was a warm, personal welcome that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
A Wedding Where Food and Wine Took Centre Stage
Georgina, a true foodie at heart, wanted her wedding to be all about flavours, fine wine, and unforgettable culinary experiences rather than a standard day of routine traditions. Every detail reflected this passion. Guests were treated to an intimate six-course tasting menu, with hand-picked wine pairings carefully selected to complement each dish—a dream come true for any food lover.
The tables were a visual feast as well, overflowing with luxurious florals by Arcade Flowers, blending elegance with natural beauty. Every corner of the dining room was styled to perfection, creating a dining experience that was as beautiful as it was delicious.
Dinner Entertainment with Jamtastic Band
The energy continued into the evening with the incredible Jamtastic Band performing live music during dinner. Guests were swept up in the fun, waving their personalised name ribbons in the air and dancing around the room as the band played. It was the perfect way to add a playful, joyous energy to the evening, creating memories that Georgina and Brendan, and their guests will treasure forever.
A Perfect Day from Start to Finish
From the warm sunlight of the walled gardens to the decadent courses at the dinner, every moment of Georgina and Brendan’s wedding was pure perfection. It was intimate, elegant, and incredibly personal, a day that focused on what mattered most to them: love, connection, and shared experiences over incredible food and wine.
Capturing their story as a wedding photographer was an absolute joy. Their day was a beautiful reminder that weddings don’t need to follow the standard formula to be stunning, they simply need to reflect the couple at their heart. And Chewton Glen, I hope to be back soon.
