Natasha & Henry at The Gooseberry House, Spring Gardens Nursery
A wildly personal greenhouse wedding in West Sussex
Set within the stunning surroundings of Spring Gardens Nursery in West Sussex, The Gooseberry House is a truly special wedding venue for couples who want something relaxed, nature-led and a little bit different. Known for its overflowing greenery, seasonal planting and light-filled greenhouse spaces, Gooseberry House offers an incredible, unique backdrop for those who want something a bit less traditional and feel completely immersed in nature.
At the heart of the nursery sits The Gooseberry House, a vine-draped greenhouse flooded with natural light, wildflowers and warmth. It’s the kind of venue that feels effortlessly beautiful and allows wedding days to unfold organically, making it a dream location to photograph as a Hampshire wedding photographer who regularly travels across the South of England.
And that brings me to Natasha & Henry’s wedding a day that was fire from start to finish and an absolute joy to document. From scrapping tradition to leaning fully into what felt right for them, this wedding was completely personal, joy-filled and effortlessly cool. Every detail reflected who they are, and honestly? The vibes did not miss.
A first look in the apple orchard
Natasha & Henry started their day with a first look before the ceremony, just the two of them tucked away in the apple orchard. Quiet, intimate and deeply personal, it was such a beautiful way for them to connect and soak it all in before the celebrations began. These moments are always some of my favourites to photograph, especially when couples choose to do things entirely their own way.
A greenhouse ceremony led by family
The ceremony took place beneath the vines of the gorgeous greenhouse at Spring Gardens Nursery, led by Natasha’s brother. It was a heartfelt journey through how they met and the life they’ve built together, all while the sun poured in, flooding the space with warm light and creating the most joyful, intimate atmosphere. If you’re dreaming of a greenhouse wedding, this venue is honestly something special.
Fashion, colour & iconic energy
Natasha is a true fashion girly, and her dress deserves its own moment. Designed by Molly Goddard, it was huge, layered, dramatic and ICONIC - genuinely one of the most incredible wedding dresses I’ve ever seen. Bold, playful and unforgettable, it suited her perfectly.
The bridal party followed suit with an array of colours - yellows, greens and blues, all in different styles, creating a look that felt intentional but totally effortless. Paired with the wild, seasonal florals by Chalk Farm Flowers, everything tied together beautifully while still feeling relaxed and fun.
And the energy? Unreal. Their bridal party hyped Natasha & Henry all day long, nonstop laughter and the best kind of chaos.
Long tables, incredible food & golden light
The meal was served buffet-style by Field Food & Co, laid out on long tables beneath the greenhouse vines, with sunlight pouring in from every angle. Incredible food, communal tables and that warm, late-afternoon glow, it was absolute perfection.
Personalised cocktails & the ultimate garden-party energy
A huge highlight of the day was the mobile bar by Bower + Hawthorne, serving up incredible, personalised cocktails and drinks that felt completely in tune with Natasha & Henry’s vision. Thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented it brought effortless garden-party energy with guests mingling in the sunshine, drinks in hand, laughter everywhere. It was the perfect detail that elevated the day while still feeling laid-back and fun, exactly in keeping with the vibe of the wedding.
A packed dancefloor to end the night
As the sun dipped, the party really kicked off with a live band and a completely packed dancefloor and there was no holding back. Natasha slipped away to change into her evening dress, a look far more suited to dancing the night away.
A wedding that did things differently
Natasha & Henry’s wedding at The Gooseberry House, Spring Gardens Nursery was a reminder that the best days are the ones where couples stay true to themselves. No rules, no pressure - just fun, personality and good intention.
If you’re planning a non-traditional wedding in West Sussex and want it documented in a natural, editorial way that captures both the big moments and the in-between magic, this is exactly the kind of day I live for.
